Steel2Velvet
Please join in and share your Sweetest 16 film experiences* with the rest of the movie lovers on SF. In random order: Rosemary's Baby The Man Who Would Be King Field of Dreams Tootsie The Collector (1965) A Few Good Men Groundhog Day Bonnie and Clyde Schindler's List Butch Cassidy and The Sundance Kid Witness Kramer vs. Kramer Fargo Mississippi Burning Saving Private Ryan Cool Hand Luke *Originally I thought reading each of our top ten movies would be cool, but found so few to be too difficult. So, I settled on 16 and actually am not totally comfortable with that number. Undoubtedly I will regret leaving one out that shows on cable in the future, but the world will still spin regardless. TheLizard
Not an easy task (how do you compare, say, The Godfather to The Jerk?), but I think these sixteen would probably be around the top of my list most days. Raiders of the Lost Ark Inception Vertigo Dr. Strangelove Star Wars Monty Python and the Holy Grail 2001 The Dark Knight Goodfellas Life of Brian Pulp Fiction Apocalypse Now The Big Lebowski Chinatown Casablanca Fight Club

Shawna
oooo good topic. No specific order (to do so would be impossible): Jesus Christ, Superstar "and what is truth? Is truth unchanging law? We both have truths, are mine the same as yours? Monty Python and the Holy Grail "now go away or I shall taunt you a second time" Major League " I look like a banker in this." Hot Shots! "There's a blip! A big, shiny blip! And it's heading south!" Vacation "REAL tomato ketchup, Eddie?" "Nothing but the best, Clark." Caddyshack "Be the ball, Danny." The Jerk "What's happening to my special purpose?!" Parenthood " He likes to butt things with his head." "You must be so proud." Ever After "Just breathe." Blazing Saddles "Mongo like candy." Airplane! "Danny, ever seen a grown man naked?" Yellowbeard "where's my piratin' outfit?" Animal house "what am i? A zit!" Grease "tell me about it. Stud." A Christmas Story " Randy lay there like a slug. It was his only defense." Tombstone "Daisy if you do." (anyone see a pattern here?) My list comprises those movies that I am willing to watch over and over again. If I only watch a movie once, it doesn't qualify for me, regardless of how good it is. Shawna
There's way way too many great lines for me to pick a single one... Or even a single scene. I laugh through the whole movie every time i watch it... Which unfortunately hasn't been for quite a long time, since the only dvd's out there are awful cheap redubs someone recorded off their tv or computer. If you know where i can get an original, i'm on it!
