Mike
NEW YORK – Katy Perry's cleavage is fine for Russell Brand — not so for Elmo and Sesame Street. Link to the VIDEO The children's show says it won't air a taped segment featuring the "California Gurls" singer and Elmo. The pop star — who is known for her risque outfits — wore a gold bustier top as she sang a version of her hit "Hot & Cold." But some felt it was too revealing for the kid set. Sesame Street said in a statement Thursday that in light of the "feedback we've received" after the bit was aired on YouTube, they won't include it on the show. While the show said it would still be available on YouTube, it had been removed by the official Sesame Street YouTube channel. Perry's rep did not return a message seeking comment Thursday morning. miamisammy29
Elmo like Katy Perry!
RonJonSurfer
Elmo did look pretty happy running around Katy. I am a bit too old for Sesame Street. I wonder if Capt. Kangaroo would have let Katy on the show? Personally I think Mr. Moose, Bunny Rabbit and Mr. Greenjeans would be as happy as Elmo.

MindCrime
You can clearly see she's wearing a flesh colored mesh that goes all the way up to her neck.

pinkstones
In general, there's nothing wrong with what she was wearing. For Sesame Street, there's a lot wrong with what she's wearing. Anywhere else, and she'd be dressed just fine -- but you have to sort of tone it down for PBS. RonJonSurfer
I'm sure the good folks at Sesame Street picked out the outfit, approved everything that was said and done and took the time to tape the segment...then, somebody, somwhere said "this is too racy for kids". It might be true, be how did it get completed in the first place? I'm sure Katy Perry had no say about the outfit or content of the script. RockyRaccoon
Looks like Katy Perry has a sense of humor about it. This was on Saturday Night Live: Guess you could say she was getting the whole thing off her chest
TheLizard
Did you hear her sing? It sounded like a bad drunken Karaoke performance of Katy Perry's songs, as performed by Katy Perry. She's awful. I'd watch it again on mute, though.
pinkstones
The only reason Katy is famous is because tone-deaf people buy her music and she has a giant rack. None of that requires actual talent, although anymore, who's surprised?
RockyRaccoon
I mean...I kinda.......sorta like Katy Perry In my defense, I saw her MTV Unplugged special and it was all jazzy and cool and I happened to like it a lot.
RockyRaccoon
Though I will agree, her performance on SNL sucked. But oh well. It happens. I do recommend checking out her MTV Unplugged thing. It was pretty awesome.
MindCrime
I mean...I kinda.......sorta like Katy Perry Me 2 I even downloaded her previous album, which I thought was mostly listenable, but I can't stand her current hit California Gurls. It drives me up the wall when it comes on the radio every-time I start up my engine.
RockyRaccoon
I agree. I liked her first album. I haven't listened to the full new album yet, but California Gurls bugs the bejeezus out of me.
