MuzikTyme
First off: Best wishes, Songfactors, to a very prosperous 2010 and all years that follow! Second: I realize the title of this thread sounds a bit like what Norman Bates might write though it's simply a thread about songs concerning mothers. Any song concerning someone's mother has a place here so please feel free to add/subtract (in the case of mothers-in-law) at will. Here's one of my favourites. On the opposite side of the spectrum it'd likely be this You get the idea . . .

Viaene
Here's one of my favourites. Thanks for sharing, I like that song! I believe there was a thread here somewhere, posted on mother's day by Mike or Carl (somehow I mix those guys up). Howerer I can't find it, there were some nice mother-songs in it. MuzikTyme
I love all the great responses. Interesting how many songs concern "mother." As mentioned, one of the best is this . . . Post script: Does not a young Mick Jagger remind one of a young "Alex" (Malcom Mcdowell) starring in A Clockwork Orange ? (even his mother turned him down) hmmm . . . Brad_M
This isn't a song about mother, but this thread reminded me of a funny clip from the TV show "Family Guy" where Stewie is trying to get his mother's attention. blind-fitter
A favourite of mine: "Kick Mother" by NERVE RACK "A Blow To The Head (With A Blunt Instrument)" also by NERVE RACK, whilst not referring to any mothers in its title, does so in its chorus.
