OLD 55
Thanks Don. If I hadn't already voted, I'd have given Sixteen Candles 5 Points. Next week ? Now, there's currently a few songs just teetering on leaving the Chart, so if we want to get New ones in, maybe think about supporting others' nominations we like. Billboard actually had 3 charts at the time: Best Sellers in Stores, Most Played by Jockeys, and Top 100; the Hot 100 as we know it was not introduced until August 4, 1958, with Poor Little Fool as #1. OLD 55
Thanks Cyber. I thought that might confuse people. The Billboard Chart I used above is from the "Top 100 Sides". With Billboard Magazine, an Artist/Group could be credited with a #1 from any of those 3 Charts at that time. After the introduction of the official Hot 100, the Most Played By Jockeys and Best Selling Pop Singles In Stores Charts were phased out. .................................................. COULD I ASK THOSE WHO HAVEN'T VOTED YET TO PLEASE DO SO SOON ? MAYBE WHEN YOU COME IN TO VOTE FOR THE TOP TEN; OR SOONER. THANKS. My lack of any typing skills means I need plenty of time to prepare the Chart.
