Lucky
Remembrance Day, Poppy Day, Armistice Day, or Veterans Day .... whatever you call it wherever you live. Take a moment to remember and give your respect to the many that have served, and unhappily, the many that have died, in service to their countries, and ultimately in service to us. Thank you, Vets everywhere.
Tenacious_Peaches
I do not believe in war but I believe in the men and women who sacrifice so much to defend my right not to believe. We all owe them a huge debt of gratitude.
Mike
Wars are, of course, as a rule to be avoided; but they are far better than certain kinds of peace. - Theodore Roosevelt
Tony Baloni
I support our troops and our veterans, but not that quote. There's only one type of peace. And it's wayyyy better than war.

Shawna
although this song was written, I believe, as a plug for the National Guard, I think it appropriate for today. So I'd like to dedicate this song to all our veterans who put their life on the line to ensure our freedom... Citizen Soldier
edna
I just saw this thread and found out it´s Le Jour de l´Armistice... They don´t celebrate it in Spain -I believe they don´t... - but in France it´s one of the most important holidays. WWI ended on November 11th 1918. katie_sane
Age shall not weary them, Nor the years condemn. At the going down of the sun, And in the morning We will remember them. Lest we forget.
