Batman

A somewhat insane anti-hero, a fallen innocent, a maiden in distress, a wise confidant, a pure evil villain, a tragic ending...

Pretty Shakespearian to me.

Not really: no smart and witty dialogues (hell, no real structure to the way the dialogues are written), no characters that will last for hundreds of years (either heroes or villains). Also, to refer to Batman as an "anti-hero" is a bit of a stretch since he fights genuine bad guys. His actions don't make anyone think twice if what he's doing is "right" or "wrong." He's a good guy, really, and a boring one at that (according to Chris Nolan).

I agree with that... I can't really put my finger on what bothered me about him being there. The Joker is a great character (it's become a bit of a cliche to say that, I know, but he is), and enough for one movie, I think.

And maybe I should add that Dent bore an uncanny resemblance to my Maths teacher. :P
