OLD 55
Thanks Laurie and Jeff. Good to be back. We covered 2,900 kilometres (approx.1800 miles). There's no place like home. The Wedding went fine, but I didn't know most of the music at the Reception, except AC/DC. I didn't dance. And except for the Bridal Waltz, the rest of the dancing seemed to be a non contact sport. I'm getting old. Edited May 10, 2008 by Guest
OLD 55
Radhi, of course I'm playing. Thanks cyber. That's fair enough for those who've recently joined, but I'll only use my nominations though. It'll be tough enough for me to pick my 50 favorites from them! Anyway, I'll start downloading them soon.

OLD 55
Thanks Radhi. Better put me in earlier than all of you kids though. At 67 you never know..... No, it'll take me a week or so to find them all.

The Seeker
You all enjoy rubbing in the fact that I don't have the faintest clue about maths, don't you? I just stole that from Chris... I still don't understand why 50*10 is not right

c_s_1987
there's even more 50! = 3.04140932 × 10^64 who's our next victim? That's true if you are looking at the order of all 50 songs - I was only counting the top ten.
Viaene
oh yeah, then it would be 50!/40! =3.7276043 × 10^16 right?
Levis
Yes indeed... for number of permutations the top ten can have. 50C10 (50!/40!/10!) gives the number of combinations, and 50P10 (50!/40!) gives the number of permutations.
