  1. Reason To Believe - Rod Stewart If I gave you time to change my mind I'd find a way to leave the past behind Knowing that you lied straight-faced while I cried Still I look to find a reason to believe If I listened long enough to you I'd find a way to believe that it's all true Knowing that you lied straight-faced while I cried Still I look to find a reason to believe Someone like you makes it hard to live without Somebody else Someone like you makes it easy to give Never think of myself
  2. Good for you Jimbo...and I'm knockin' on 50...Turn 46 next month ...lol.
  3. Must be tough trying to remember way back when you were 10,13 or 17 when you are 20. Wait till your 45. . But I will say that music, unlike anything else, reminds me of things that have happened in my life. When a certain song comes on,it takes me back in time to whatever expierence I connect that song to. That's what music is all about .
  4. The one that came to my mind first is "I Want To Know What Love Is" by Foreigner. If that doesn't work,I'm sure others will come up with other songs. I might think of a few more too. And welcome to Songfacts!!
  5. A couple of Saturdays ago I went to the grocery store which is a regional chain and there were people standing in a line that stretched out into the parking lot. They were there to buy Miley Cyrus tickets that went on sale for the Lexington,Ky show. As I checked out,the woman at the register, who was about my age, said it reminded her of when she was a teen standing in line for Aerosmith tickets. I told her Aerosmith would have been worth any wait, but Miley Cyrus?? My how times have changed.
  6. Wow...I made it on a list. And a good list this time .
  7. I heard Brit cut all ties with her family and that they kind of sided with K-Fed during all this. Some loving family, huh? No wonder she is a mess.
  8. Hey Jude....without question.
  9. Diamond Girl - Seals and Crofts Black Diamond - Kiss
  10. I too feel sorry for the kids. They will be the ones who will eventually pay for all of this. Who knows what they have seen already in their lives, from both parents. Britney is without a doubt out of control but K-Fed is a hanger on,with no future other than getting money from her if he gets to keep the kids. People ask why somebody didn't step forward for the kids sake but Britney surrounded herself with people, like this bodyguard, who would tell her anything in order to share the high life with her. They didn't care about her or the kids. Britney had it all and wanted more. She had a career, money, fame, the party life, but she wanted to be married and have kids. When you are 20 something and achieved the level of success she enjoyed, kids and married life can be hard to manage, especially when you are married to a loser. I never thought she had a lot of talent but she used what she had and was very successfull. Now it appears she has lost it all.
  11. Pearl Necklace - ZZ Top But I don't think this song is about jewlery .
  12. You're welcome. It's one of my favorite songs but the MTV Rod Stewart version,I think is just really, really good. It turned me on to Rod Stewart music. I was turned of to his music in the late 70's and 80's when he went through, like other artists at the time, his "disco" phase. Of course I always thought "Maggie Mae" was a great song, but I just couldn't get past the long hair and leopard print spandex of his disco days. After I heard "Reason To Believe" from Unplugged,I became a fan.
  13. This song has been recorded several times including by the writer Tim Hardin. Bobby Darin recorded the song as did The Lovin Spoonfull and The Carpenters. Rod Stewart covered the song in 1971 on his "Every Picture Tells A Story" album. He performed the song on MTV "Unplugged" in 1993 along with Ron Wood, who was in the band The Faces with Stewart. I like the acoustic sound of that version, which is why I like it the best of any version of the song I have heard.
  14. One of my all time favorite bands but the years of revolving lead singers, Roth,Hager,Malloy,Roth,Cherone(barf),Hager,Roth and Michael Anthony's departure, has spoiled my interest in their return.
  15. Boom,Boom,Out Go The Lights - The Pat Travers Band (1980?)- One of the best party songs ever. Reason To Believe - Rod Stewert - Live and Unplugged (1993) - In my opinion, better that the original 1971 version, although I love both. And,as always,I need youtube help since I am a computer idiot plus I'm lazy .
  16. I wish he would sing "Glory Days" but I doubt it he does .
  17. Glory Days - Bruce Springsteen Tuesday's Gone - Lynyrd Skynyrd
  18. I don't know about the drug use but what I do know is Grand Funk Railroad is one of rock music's best bands EVER. :guitar:
  19. It's Only Rock "N" Roll - The Rolling Stones Let There Be Rock - AC/DC Long Live Rock - The Who Sultans Of Swing - Dire Straits Roll Over Beethoven - Chuck Berry And a couple from country. (Yes I sometimes listen to country.) Are You Sure Hank Done It This Way? - Waylon Jennings Murder On Music Row - George Strait and Alan Jackson
  20. I have many and most have already been mentioned but one I will add is "Hogans Heros". It made me wonder if all Nazis were really that stupid. Of course you had to be stupid if you wanted to be a Nazi, but anyway.
  21. Two from ELO. "Don't Bring Me Down" The lyric goes "Don't bring me down, grus". I'm not sure what "grus" is but I thought they said "wuss" "Strange Magic" The lyric goes "Strange magic". I thought it said, and this is perverted,"Strange my d*#k". (I was afraid to spell it for real for fear of being banned, although some may hope that happens some day.)
  22. Maybe he will do something with that hair while out on bail. And without a doubt he is guilty as sin. Kind of like the OJ trail(#1),I think the jury couldn't convict somebody famous.
  23. Bohemian Rhapsody - Queen I'm sure there are several for this song. Here is one: "Beelzebub has a devil put aside for me" Sometimes misheard as: "The algebra has a devil for a sidekick eeeee"
  24. 1.Running On Empty - Jackson Browne 2.Smokin' - Boston 3.Long-Haired Country Boy - The CDB 4.The Heart Of The Matter - Don Henley 5.Old Days - Chicago 6.Back On The Chain Gang - The Pretenders 7.Smokin' In The Boy's Room - Brownsville Station 8.Takin' Care Of Business - BTO 9.Sweet Jane - Lou Reed 10.Livin' Thing - ELO
