  1. I hate it when people call me Fin, but they do. It's horrible, innit?
  2. Any Eurhythmics song, especially We Can Save the World Today, or whatever it's called.
  3. I like the Small Faces' version of If I Were A Carpenter better than Tim Hardin's, same with Red Balloon. Then, Manfred Mann's Mighty Quinn and Matthew's Southern Comfort's Woodstock are also better than the originals. Some said that most people like Jimi Hendrix' All Along the Watchtower better than Bob Dylan's, but I think there's something missing on Jimi's version, I can't put my finger on it, but there is. I like the original version better.
  4. Greasy Barfbrains. Interesting.
  5. Does a sitar count as a guitar? And it's dark. So... I'm an unemployed pirate. Beware...
  6. I have once seen a picture of John Lennon on the way to the crematorium. That was horrible, to see him dead.
  7. I love the storm that leaves no trace Like thoughts inside a dream -- Kashmir, Led Zeppelin
  8. Good. That's why I asked in the shoutbox, I thought I'd do one if noone else would. "I am a genius. If there is such a thing, then I am one." -- John Lennon I think that's all there is to be said, along with "Thanks, John."
  9. It's funny how I'm not that much of a punk fan, but at the same time the Who and the Kinks are my favourite resp. one of my favourite bands, and they're often dubbed the godfathers of punk.
  10. Someone get it then, and quick! Paul Weller, Dr John, they're alright, but Avril Lavigne? Why don't they fetch Eminem and Christina Aguilera too?
  11. ^^ Yes, I'd heard about that... Anyway that's what I thought too at first, that his death contributed to his fame. People like Paul McCartney still have the chance to at least partly ruin their fame. I just wanted to hear your opinions on that.
  12. 8/10. 10 because it sounds great, and 6 because I can smell it now and want one too. pancakes with raspberry sauce
  13. Okay, I think this needs a bit of explaining. In my opinion, John Lennon was the greatest musician ever, and I know that many many people share this view nowadays. There are so many who put him above the other Beatles and every other musician there is. Today I get this impression that it's always been like that, that everyone called him the best ever since the Beatles started. So what I want to know now from those who were there, has this really always been like that, in the 60s, in the 70s, even when he released stuff like Two Virgins, has all the world put him above any other person already back then, or is he just being hyped today? (as in, that magazines and so on create this impression everyone has always thought he was the greatest) Hope you get my drift, it's hard to explain what I mean...
  14. Nothing Compares To You -- Sinead O'Connor I'm not usually one for crying because of songs, though.
  15. I think I wouldn't recognise half the quotes posted here. I need to watch more films.
  16. 5/10 because it's cold. } Chocolate that's been lying around for nearly seven months
  17. I think you have to upload them, to photobucket or Imageshack or some such thing.
  18. I have no clue how people can release album covers like that if they want that their album actually sells...
  19. I just finished Moon Palace by...forgot his name. 9 out of ten anyway, it was a little bit tedious in the end but though everyone told me it's the most horrible book ever, I thought it was great.
  20. Two Who songs in the top ten? I think I'll celebrate that tonight. Um...the smilies page doesn't load...just imagine the beer-drinking-one now.
  21. I just hope he's happy wherever he might be now.
