  1. He´d be 64. Tsss, tsss... As Ray Davis would say, "Thank you for the days"!
  2. sniff...
  3. I have a question, it´s not about music: I´d like to post some pictures or images but (I´ll say it again...sigh...) I´m moving and all my things are packed, even my scanner. Can I post them just by dowloading them from the web? Or from my own files? I just did it with a lyric and it worked... I don´t know why I thought it couldn´t be done... One more: how can I put an avatar? Thank you very much!!!
  4. All the four of them? With Waters?
  5. Peaches, I love your Kiss poster!!! I can´t post pictures because (did I say it only 64 times?) my scanner is packed and I guess I can´t post anything from my personal files... Well, I´ll have to read once again the instructions. Good thread!
  6. Hi, Dan, and welcome! Good people here in songfacts, I like them... good sense of humour...I agree with you, I also live in Spain and nobody knows about Marron5... I just read about it in the press. Keep on posting!

Parallel Lines is the best album by Blondie. This morning I have a gentle offer on my screen which says "Live and work in the USA" in order to get my green card. I can´t get rid of it but well, anyway, it doesn´t bother me. I´m not planning to become American, I have allready a couple of passports and maybe I´ll become Spanish one day if I´m not too lazy. Though I love America, as David Byrne said. I guess this has nothing to do with ads, it must be for the spanish net.
  8. There is a Dutch band called Gruppo Sportivo. They are good musicians and make fun of many clichés. And that Bob Dylan song (what´s its name???) "I was riding in the Mayflower..." Guess it´s "Bob Dylan´s Dream# something"...

    Herb Albert

Hey, I had that album, I like it! I love to learn to appreciate that sound, nothing to do with the kind of music I always loved and dealed with. Some years ago I got liberated and I can scream out loud: "Yes, I love Herp Albert, Burt Bacharach, Engelbert Humperdinck and The Carpenters!!!"
  10. Have you heard Jeff Beck´s cover of "She´s a Woman" (Lennon-McCartney)? I think he uses the same trick.
  11. Excellent. I like vey much your musical interludes, MiammyS.
  12. She´s one of the most on-fashion web child right now! Cheers again!
  13. I love alphabet soup! But I never got to find anything interesting, nor my name or friend´s name or so... as for songs, I just found "ABBA" some years ago... Does it count? Unfortunately I have no time to make alphabet soup, I´m much too busy posting in Songfacts.
  14. I agree with grampa Joe, when I was younger it seemed to me that Tom Jones was good for straights, but now I get mad about him and I bought me his greatest hits. I should post his name in the comebacks thread, as he really did a good comeback... How´s your little new one, Uncle Joe?
  15. I mean, the Everly Brothers...
  16. Of course, I love them too...
  17. Jayson is right, it´s "If I only knew", Google it.
  18. Good idea, chico!
  19. ...the Everly Brothers. Just the opposite of Ike&Anne Mae... all sugar.
  20. "The chain gang" or "Hooked on a feeling" have great human sounds!
  21. I didn´t see the TV special, by that time I was a teen and living in Argentina. But I remember all the comments about it. What songs did he sing by that time? I love "The wonder of you", "Suspicious minds" or "You don´t have to say you love me", but I guess these were songs from his Vegas&suits...I can´t check records nor books because (sigh...) I´m moving on and my things are packed until I finally settle down. If you know more about this, please let me know.
  22. Marianne Faithfull had a very good comeback with "Broken English", at the end of the 70´s. She completely changed her style and now I like what she does.
  23. That site is very funny, thank you ____! I´ll try to add it to some post, I don´t think it´s complicated, even with a Mac. Anyways my 12 old nephew wants to install some tune on my cellar phone, and he surelly knows how to do with the icons.
  24. I´ve just checked the abbreviations page, it´s gonna help me a lot, sometimes I work also as a translator. Thank you very much again, Mike!!!
