Marie42191 Posted September 20, 2007 Report Posted September 20, 2007 (edited) I am trying to find the title and artist to a song from the late 60's early 70's which I believe to be called "Bring Back the good times" I think the first few words are "Just to live again" the chorus is something like "Why dont they bring back the good times" Any suggestions??? The Seeker Posted September 20, 2007 Report Posted September 20, 2007 The first song I thought of was Bringing On Back The Good Times by the Love Affair (I think... can't youtube) Since you went away I've been losing my sleep at night Never thought there 'd come a day when you'd be back to make everything right, but how wrong could I be 'Cos now you're here with me Bringing on back the good times, taking away the pain. You're bringing on back the good times and I'm living on air, So glad that you're there, sweeping away the sad times, making me laugh again I've never been loved by anybody that's quite like you, So when you're telling me of all the things you want me to do, now you've made me see what you mean to me You're bringing on back ....

miamisammy29 Posted September 21, 2007 Report Posted September 21, 2007 So are David Bowie and the Kinks, and Van Halen has had three different singers and I don't think either one of them was a woman. Anyway... Could it possibly be "Good Times" by Chic. It's a classic disco tune, circa 1976. "Good times, these are the good times Leave your cares behind, these are the good times Good times, these are the good times Our new state of mind, these are the good times Happy days are here again The time is right for makin' friends Let's get together, how 'bout a quarter to ten Come tomorrow, let's all do it again Boys will be boys, better let them have their toys Girls will be girls, cute pony tails and curls Must put an end to this stress and strife I think I want to live the sporting life Good times, these are the good times Leave your cares behind, these are the good times Good times, these are the good times Our new state of mind, these are the good times A rumor has it that it's getting late Time marches on, just can't wait The clock keeps turning, why hesitate You silly fool, you can't change your fate Let's cug the rug, a little jive and jitterbug We want the best, we won't settle for less Don't be a drag, participate Clams on the half shell and roller-skates, roller-skates Good times, these are the good times Leave your cares behind, these are the good times Good times, these are the good times Our new state of mind, these are the good times"

edna Posted September 22, 2007 Report Posted September 22, 2007 "Good Times", by Eric Burdon/Animals? "When I think of all the good time that I wasted having good times, When I think of all the good time that 's been wasted having good times..."
