Shawna
smooshed up hard boiled eggs, mayonnaise, and some pickle juice mixed in, spread on bread for a sandwich. Yummy.
The Seeker
That sounds nice! I don't think I would've thought of adding pickle juice though.
Shawna
the pickle juice just gives it a tangy taste. You could certainly forgo that and it would be yummy all the same.
MuzikTyme
I love deviled egg sandwiches! And yes, the pickle juice makes all the difference in the world. Especially if it's home-made sweet pickle juice, IMHO. Also, Duke's mayonnaise (only sold in VA) makes it a standout as well.
The Seeker
I love sandwiches with either scrambled or fried eggs. Unfortunately I've managed to develop some sort of dairy-and-eggs-allergy (yes yes dairy 'allergy' is not the correct term), but I can't always resist eggs. Think I'll give the mayonnaise and/or pickle juice a try.
Shawna
make sure to not use too much pickle juice... you don't want it to be watery. Usually if I'm using 2 eggs, I put only a teaspoon of pickle juice, and it's perfect.
Uncle Joe
Now if it's just eggs is it still called egg salad? I'm just trying to understand the "salad" thingy here.
_Laurie_
I've never tried it with pickle juice...I usually put a little bit of mustard in my egg salad...and a little bit of chopped onion, and paprika, and of course Hellman's Mayo. The Seeker
An egg boiled to perfection - firm white, runny yolk. And I cooked it in a pot.
MuzikTyme
I've found that undercooked boiled eggs (runny yolks) are a devil to peel. They're good, though. I just like to cook them until I can shell them in one piece, not a thousand li'l shards of white hard things endind up with something that looks like a miniture moon. Currently, I'm waiting for my home-made spahgetti sauce to thicken just right (it takes all day). I've already added browned Italian sausage and handmade meatballs. My house smells like a true Italian kitchen! Yum.
Farin
I don't peel my eggs, just behead them... btw, isn't cooking them in a pot the normal option?

MuzikTyme
What does an egg cooker resemble? (rhetorical question as it needs no answer). Me, when it comes to the preparation of food I like to keep it simple. Chef knives and pots, pans with appropriate cooking utensils is all this caveman needs. I've never been one for gadgets even though I respect people that can't live without them.
