RonJonSurfer
'City Slickers' actor Bruno Kirby dies By JEREMIAH MARQUEZ, Associated Press Writer LOS ANGELES - Bruno Kirby, a veteran character actor who costarred in "When Harry Met Sally," "City Slickers" and many other films, has died at age 57, his wife said Tuesday. Kirby died Monday in Los Angeles from complications related to leukemia, according to a statement from his wife, Lynn Sellers. He had recently been diagnosed with the disease. "We are incredibly grateful for the outpouring of support we have received from Bruno's fans and colleagues who have admired and respected his work over the past 30 years," his wife said. "Bruno's spirit will continue to live on not only in his rich body of film and television work but also through the lives of individuals he has touched throughout his life." Kirby was perhaps best known for his roles opposite Billy Crystal in 1989's "When Harry Met Sally" and 1991's "City Slickers." Other film credits included "Good Morning, Vietnam," "The Godfather: Part II" and "Donnie Brasco." More recently, he played Phil Rubenstein on the HBO series "Entourage." Jenny
My favorite line from City Slickers was uttered by Bruno Kirby when Billy Crystal's character is trying to explain to Daniel Stern's character hoe to program a VCR: "Shut up! Just shut up! He doesn't get it! He'll never get it! It's been 4 hours! The cows can tape something by now! Forget about it please!"

Tenacious_Peaches
I liked him in This is Spinal Tap, too. RIP, Bruno.
Uncle Joe
I liked his work. Did any of you see his appearance on Letterman just after City Slickers was released? He was rather unkind towards Billy Crystal. I felt he was way off-base in his remarks. No wonder he wasn't in the sequel (or any subsequent Crystal movies). As a matter of fact his careeer seemed to stall after that. Don't mean to denegrate him. As I said, I enjoyed his work. May he rest in peace. RonJonSurfer
I'm not a Crystal fan...I might have appreciated it, but I didn't see that..
Uncle Joe
His basic complaint was that Crystal hogged all the good lines for himself.
RonJonSurfer
Billy Crystal was the star, I would think he would get the best lines....OK, maybe Bruno was off base..
Malakin
That, and he said he couldn't stand riding horses.. But, yeah, I really liked him, if he'd been in the sequel it would've been alot better. He was classic in When Harry met Sally and Spinal Tap too.
