Shawna Posted June 14, 2005 Report Posted June 14, 2005 Lyrically Roger Clyne has no equal. Musically, he's right there at the top of the heap. The man is a genius.
Shawna Posted June 15, 2005 Author Report Posted June 15, 2005 hey back atcha. Since you're in AZ, are you a Roger fan? If not, WHAT'S KEEPING YOU??? LOL
Shawna Posted June 19, 2005 Author Report Posted June 19, 2005 none of the above... was "introduced" to his music just over a year ago by my son's Big Brother (a die-hard fan since Roger's days with the Refreshments) and I found that I just really love his music. I'm a words person, so I really get into lyrics, and he's extremely articulate and can put together words like nothing I've ever seen. Plus he's a down-to-earth guy... at his Rocky Point concert in May, he gave my nephew a shout-out for his bachelor party and he takes time after every show to sign autographs for everybody who's waiting. Okay, blah blah blah. Try it, you might like it, too.
Shawna Posted April 1, 2010 Author Report Posted April 1, 2010 I thought it was time to bring up Roger again. There's never a time to NOT bring him up. He's still a genius, he's still relevant, he still rocks a house like no other... And as my brother-in-law said, "We get first-class rock and roll at honky-tonk prices."
MindCrime Posted April 1, 2010 Report Posted April 1, 2010 Hey neighbor, welcome to Songfacts Hiya neighbor, long time no see. How's your daughter Jess doing, probably all grown up by now.
Lucky Posted April 2, 2010 Report Posted April 2, 2010 And apparently the topic was Shawna's first or near to first. Lots of posts between then and now.
