Steel2Velvet
"Bonnie And Clyde" opened the door to visually accurate period movies, influencing nearly every directorial decision for that genre since. Prior to "B & C," movies of period seemed to be merely modern people in older costumes, moving among replicated sets. His use of light to cast nostalgic mood and his devotion to place were brilliant! He was a pioneer.
