RonJonSurfer Posted July 22, 2009 Report Share Posted July 22, 2009 Bruce Springsteen, U2 , Aretha Franklin are booked for Rock and Roll Hall of Fame show by Jay Lustig /The Star-Ledger Bruce Springsteen, U2, Aretha Franklin, Metallica are among the artists that have been lined up for concerts celebrating the 25th anniversary of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. The shows will be held Oct. 29-30 at Madison Square Garden in New York. Springsteen and the E Street Band, Stevie Wonder, Paul Simon (on his own and with Art Garfunkel) and Crosby, Stills, Nash & Friends are on the bill for Oct. 29. The Oct. 30 lineup features U2, Franklin, Metallica and Eric Clapton. There will be a pre-sale for American Express cardholders beginning on July 27, and the general on-sale will be on Aug. 3. The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Foundation, which selects Rock and Roll Hall of Fame members, was created in 1983, and the first induction ceremony was in 1986.
