Batman
There's probably already a thread for this but I searched and couldn't find it. What are some bands that you used to dislike but have now grown to like? I used to really hate Lil Wayne, but I started listening to his mixtapes and less popular songs, and I realized he's actually a really good rapper, I just had a hard time liking him at first since I dislike his cocky personality. Plus I felt kind of weird about liking such a mainstream rapper. Turns out he's actually really good. I also didn't like Radiohead very much the first time I heard them, probably because they are a band that focuses a lot on making complete albums, and when I first heard them I was more into listening to single songs. Ombre Vivante
I used to really hate Einsturzende Neubauten, but once I heard "Yu-Gung Futter Mein Ego" I was sold into their sound
TheLizard
I used to hate Green Day, but now I've decided they're damn catchy and that's not such a crime after all.
Tony Baloni
Death Cab For Cutie is slowly starting to grow on me. Slowly.

Batman
Death Cab For Cutie is slowly starting to grow on me. Slowly. Yeah, Transatlanticism is a legitimately good album. I don't care for the other ones too much.
MindCrime
Same with me, but I've listened to them since 1993, before Dookie came out. They still manage to come out with decent stuff every now and then. It seems like they've been considered has-beens a few times already and managed to come back in between. Ombre Vivante
Now that I think about it, I didn't like Ultravox! and Japan when I first heard their songs. It took listening to more and more music in the genre to get a general overview of what they were tapping into Genius is seldom recognised in its time. Ombre Vivante
I also wasn't into Chris Isaak at all... too "Country," but then I realised this is the good kind of Country
