The Seeker
Yes... "In The Air Tonight" I know it's a running gag here but I actually sort of grew up with his music; my mother likes him, and so do my grandparents, so they played him a lot... Viaene
What's with the credit sharing? Seems like the latest TT Trend

Steel2Velvet
Yes... "In The Air Tonight" I know it's a running gag here but I actually sort of grew up with his music; my mother likes him, and so do my grandparents, so they played him a lot... Seems as though I nominated Against All Odds once. It is on my noms list. I like that song.
Lucky
I think I nominated De Do Do Do, De Da Da Da once. I like that song. It has such meaningful lyrics.
_Laurie_
Oh I hear ya Lucky...I nominated Pour Some Sugar On Me for the meaningful lyrics also...
MindCrime
I nominated "Another Day in Paradise" when I first started participating in the TT. It did very poorly. It has such meaningful lyrics. Are you being sarcastic ?
Lucky
Yes ... and no. Depends which side of the fence you're on. The lyrics are meaningful, in an inconsequential way.
blind-fitter
All I'm going to say is thanks and well done to all the people who voted for my nominations. I wasn't expecting any votes for something as crazy and progressive as Birds Of Fire. I thought Birds Of Fire was splendid. I hardly ever give a placing to a track of which I've never heard even a single note before. Happy to make an exception on this occasion.
blind-fitter
It pains me slightly that we "young / modern / alternative" types are supposed to be somehow cheered by the presence of the Chili Peppers in the Top Ten. To me, that's no more cheering than the Beatles or The Stones being there.
Lea
I nominated "Another Day in Paradise" when I first started participating in the TT. It did very poorly. Are you being sarcastic ? I love that song and was plannning on nominating it at some point. I think it is one of his better songs
MindCrime
I'll vote for it, if it's nominated again, but I doubt I'll ever nominate any of his songs again.
Lucky
It pains me slightly that we "young / modern / alternative" types are supposed to be somehow cheered by the presence of the Chili Peppers in the Top Ten. To me, that's no more cheering than the Beatles or The Stones being there. Who said you're supposed to be cheered by that fact? Not me. It pains me that perfectly wonderful songs often get kicked to the curb unless they happen to be by Stones or Beatles.
