skybluesky
I get a box saying "A script in this movie is causing Adobe Flash Player to run slowly. If it continues to run, your computer may become unresponsive. Do you wish to abort the script? " after every song. What does this mean and how can I stop it? Rayzor
Luckily Martin and Fintan are online, they could probably help you. I don't use Pandora so I have no idea Edited February 14, 2008 by Guest
Farin
Pandora doesn't work from here, so I don't use it either in the moment I can only guess: do you have the newest version of the Flash Player (9.0.something)?
The Seeker
No Pandora here either. Yes, is your player up to date... that would've been my first guess too.
skybluesky
I'm not sure. I will check on that.
The Seeker
Pandora themselves aren't that helpful: Why do I receive the message that reads, "A script in this movie is causing Adobe Flash Player 9 to run slowly. If it continues to run, your computer may become unresponsive. Do you want to abort the script?" and what should I do when it appears? First of all, there is no cause for alarm. You should just click "No," when you are asked to abort the script. It may be a while before your requested action is completed, but the Pandora Tuner will eventually complete that task if given enough time. In essence, Pandora is asking Flash to think about too much data and Windows is notifying you of that fact. We are aware of this issue, we have taken several steps to reduce its frequency, and we are working on a resolution to prevent this from occurring under any circumstances. If your machine already has at least the minimum recommended 256 MB of RAM, then in the meantime we suggest that you remove stations that you no longer use. (Click the little triangle next to the station's name, then click "Delete this station." Then confirm by clicking "delete." Note: deleting a station you have created is permanent.) skybluesky
Wow , that is way too much for me to think about. I just downloaded Adobe Flash Player, and I'll test that out in a bit.
The Seeker
Well, basically it's just saying "Jut click No whenever that happens and if you want to, delete a few of your old stations".
skybluesky
I only have 3 stations and I've only used Pandora 3 times. Maybe Pandora's not worth the fuss.
skybluesky
Downloading Adobe Flash Player seemed to work. No more annoying box.

RonJonSurfer
A couple of weeks ago I read that you could bypass the international block at Pandora Global. It seems that was caught and not available anymore.
