Haha ! that's the truth I'm just glad my car wasn't listed above, but I wouldn't have been suprised. -
I think it was Brownsville Station (who also originally sang Smokin in the Boy's Room but I could be wrong about that.

Is it just me or is techno/dance music the.....

Yeah, Depeche Mode has some talent, especially their innovative performances on Black Celebration & Music for the Masses, same thing with New Order, they created a sound that was yet unidentifiable with their earlier work, the best albums (IMO) are Low-Life & Brotherhood. -
What's your favorite songs by Alice In Chains ? Mine from each album are: Confusion Would? Got Me Wrong Rotten Apple Head Creeps Down in a Hole (unplugged)

I thought that background voice sounded like the Beach Boys, but then thought maybe I was just crazy & tripping. -
I agree, It's the only video of theirs that MTV really ever played (except for a few off of Down on the Upside, which was a decent album) I liked Badmotorfinger much better than SuperUnknown, but it had a few good songs like Day I tried to Live, Fell on Black Days, & 4th of July.

AFI 's "100 years.. 100 songs" airs June 22nd

During the broadcast, Clay Aikens had said about "Unchained Melody" in Ghost, "My mother wanted me to do a COVER of that song, but then a couple months later, Leann Rhymes did it, & my mother's dreams were dashed" First neither wrote the song, it's not like he was completely robbed, & second he didn't need to talk about his own singing career during the clip, it was like the 3rd time he did that during the show. Hillary Duff's high powered statement was "Yeah I remember dancing to Stayin Alive yasyayayaboltjowianblk" The Countdown could've used wiser , more experienced commentary. -
July 16: Phoenix (Cricket Pavilion) I may have to go to that, I need to find out when tickets go on sale. = Looking at that map, it looks like Minneapolis is the only Major US city not covered, which is still a surprise.

I agree, it's like Axl wasn't even trying on that album, but I liked their rendition of "Since I Don't Have You"
-
My favorite part of the apology letter, is when he says "I hope you can accept my apologies for not providing you with the summer that you had your hearts set on." Even he, himself knows that the lineup wasn't that good.

This was their Lineup Morrissey Sonic Youth PJ Harvey Modest Mouse Le Tigre Black Rebel Motorcycle Club The Von Bondies The String Cheese Incident The Flaming Lips Pixies Basement Jaxx Wilco Michael Franti & Spearhead Gomez The Polyphonic Spree TV on the Radio +various other small acts I've heard of 8 of these bands, but they're all washed up Alternative Rock groups, it doesn't amaze me this tour was canceled.

The only 80's music videos I have taped are from when MTV ran the Top 500 Music Videos of All Time Countdown, I taped the entire segment & they played the videos in whole without interuption.

Not exactly, but I listen to that song just about every day, it sounds like an acid trip IMO. Something to do with being in a bunker & waiting for worms to come crawling out. It works well in the obscure concept of the Wall though. -

They're mostly showing short clips of the song in the movie & interupting with celebrity commentary, including such obvious plugins as Clay Aikens & Hillary Duff who have no business commenting on anything musical. -

LOL, most have been pre-1960, Raindrops keep falling on my head is on right now at #23, I'm sure there's a complete list online somewhere. -

It's still playing here, I was glad to see "Born to be Wild" at #29. -
Yeah, I agree completely they?re underrated. Nirvana is often credited with for being the original in Seattle, but AiC had already hit the spotlight with Man in the Box a year before Nevermind was released. Not to mention Jerry Cantrell?s hefty guitar handiwork on their songs, making him IMO the best guitarist during the whole Grunge Movement. They?ve received a fair share in rankings from compiled lists of the best though, but they aren?t credited with as much as they deserve.

Gilmour pretty much did Momentary Lapse of Reason all on his own effort, & he did an amazing job at that.

I liked his take in the movie "Four Rooms" it was odd & took a few times of watching it, in order to understand the plot a little better. -
