I think they did revolutionize the mainstream perspective of grunge, and started the whole grunge era. But there were plenty of grunge bands before Nirvana.

Jimi Hendrix and Stevie Ray Vaughan both did great versions of "little wing." Jimi wrote the song, but Stevie did a stunning instrumental cover of it. With Jimi, It's all about improvisation. With Stevie, It's all about technical skill. Joe Satriani did a version that sounded almost exactly like Stevie's. And Steve Vai also did a good cover. But all in all, I cannot choose between Jimi's or Stevie's.

Well to my understanding, you can download all you want, as long as you dont "share" the music. "Sharing" meaning uploading. So if anyone is uploading from you, then there is a slight possibility that you might hear a knock. ::

I would consider some of them musical geniuses. Early blues artists tend to be overlooked.

I would have expected Skynyrd to be at least in the top 30.

I kind of agree with you. IMO, Hendrix is not a good singer, but he's not terrible. He actually didn't really like to sing, and would hardly let anyone watch him record. :guitar:
