It's a radio commercial played in the Chicagoland area - I don't if it's local and I can't remember who the commercial is for, but I love the song. I think it's a take on an older tune, but it grabbed my attention yesterday. Anyone know what I'm talking about?

They also did a bang-up job on Sonny Boy Williamson's "Bring it on Home". I still won't go so far as to say that Zeppelin did it better, though.

Lennon-McCartney, no contest. The Beatles didn't make it based on musical ability like other bands, but their songwriting was incredible.

My mom's collection was almost entirely Motown. She was born and grew up in Gary, Indiana (and saw the Jackson 5 at a bar near her house when she was in high school). My dad's collection was mostly Stones and a mixed selection of other classic rock.

The 1990's finish last automatically because of that "Doing it on the Discovery Channel" song. It singlehandedly dragged the entire decade to the bottom.

I can't deny that Dylan, Petty, or Young's voices have served them well. I'd definitely argue that they survived on character and novelty value than singing talent, though. Wow, could you imagine a Dylan, Petty, and Young Christmas Album?
