  2. Yeah, I'm not really sure in specific, but I find the line "and so I throw the windows wide, and call to you across the sky" to be particularly romantic. I've always found echoes to be a very visual piece of music, I imagine beautiful landscapes above and below the waves whenever I listen to it.
  3. Yeah, I'd think that virginity would be worth more than that to the person selling it, and less than that to the person buying it.
  4. Yeah I'd have to agree there. George didn't write too many songs, but when he did, they were perfect. Out of John and Paul I'd have to pick John. Paul has the more accessible pop music, but John has the real artistic music.
  5. For some reason, I always end up singing Beatles songs at the top of my lungs when I get drunk. Usually it's "Any Time At All".
  6. In The Land Of Grey And Pink- Caravan OK Computer- Radiohead Rock Bottom- Robert Wyatt
  7. My favourite xkcd. I also really like The Far Side and Calvin and Hobbes.
  8. my lab just had to get surgery after she got into the garbage and ate the plastic wrap from the turkey.
  9. wow this is really weird... I've always thought of months, days of the week, grades at school, subjects at school, numbers, hours of the day, notes on my viola, and probably a lot of others, as each having a specific colour. I had noticed it before, and I find it very helpful for organising stuff, but I had no idea that it was actually a scientifically recongnised phenomenon and has a name: Grapheme-colour synesthesia - Wikipedia Man, I love wikipedia.
  10. I think it was legitimately released a couple of days ago, but only on vinyl+download apparently. I'll probably go buy it on the weekend.
  11. I think that's "One Of My Turns" on The Wall. The lyrics don't quite seem to fit though.
  12. Yeah, it sort of seems to fit in a little better in those cases though. It's part of the slang they were using, so it doesn't seem weird. The error in the Doors song just seems lazy, and it really doesn't fit in with the Doors' style.
  13. wow this site is great I've never seen music information so intuitively organised Yeah Viaene, it would be really cool if other people made sites like this for other genres, and then they were all linked.
  14. Yeah, I just hope they did it for the sake of rhyming and weren't just following the assertions of inept yet grammar-zealous Grade two teachers. I know I had a few teachers like that- insisting that "I" is correct in virtually all situations, regardless of whether it's the subject or object.
  15. yeah, I know that the rhyme wouldn't work that way it's just been annoying me for a while
  16. I was just wondering if I was right in thinking that this lyric from "Touch Me" was grammatically incorrect. "I'm gonna love you Till the stars fall from the sky For you and I." Shouldn't if be "For you and me"?
  17. I just saw Mamma Mia I had never really liked Abba, but I have to say it was a lot of fun
  18. I think I'll wait for the CD release though I never liked downloading
  19. I really don't want to get drunk tonight, but there's gonna be nothing else to do. I guess I'll join you guys and have some cough syrup.
