Isn't this whole "slippery slope" argument the exact same that people in the past used to oppose interracial marriage with, or that of people who follow different religions?

You may correct me if I'm wrong, but I never doubted that this has been his personal opinion for quite some time, it was only about when he was going to announce it as a official political statement as well...

good for her! also I've been keeping track of the artist's Last.fm profile since yesterday and I'm positively surprised about the lack of trolling there

Obama says same-sex couples should be able to marry morally right, politically risky?

That's what I thought. tbh, it never even crossed my mind to compare American English to Cockney...

Can any American-English speaker confirm this comic about glottal stops ?

I'm not the biggest Coldplay fan, but this sure is a nice gesture.

The Mob - No Doves Fly Here The sky is empty and it's turning different shades of colour, It never did before and we never asked for war. My mind is empty and my body different shapes of torture, It never was before and we never asked for war. No-one is moving and no doves fly here, No-one is thinking and no doves fly here, No-one remembers beyond all this fear, No doves fly here The buildings are empty and the countryside is wasteland, It never was before and we never asked for war. The playgrounds are empty and the children limbless corpses, They never were before and they never asked for war. No-one is moving and no doves fly here, No-one is thinking and no doves fly here, No-one remembers beyond all this fear, No doves fly here video

Granted. Only that your neighbour mistakes it for a public cesspit. I wish I would own a professional sports team.

Granted. It's a tribute album to Phil Collins. I wish Bill Gates was my rich uncle.

Granted! Unfortunately the batteries don't hold much power and you have to stay still 22 hours a day recharging them. I wish I could walk across water.

new Norah Jones album "Little Broken Hearts", produced by none other than Danger Mouse! quite nice

oh, you actually had a solution in mind? I'm always just throwing out two names that jump into my head

If I look at a "real" live performance like this one at a German radio station, then all of this seems to my non-professional view not as "faking", but more like "sugar coating" their performance. It should really be clear that they can indeed perform this song with five persons on one guitar and do it very well too. Okay, so their original video didn't feature microphones directly in front of their faces and maybe some post production polishing, but compared to pretty much every song in the current Top Ten of the charts that's done on such a low level... And what would be the alternative anyway? From now on all albums should only be produced live from one take and feature no production at all? And all music videos should be uncut live performances as well?
