  1. My favourite album of the 90s is a good candidate for my favourite of all time... Kristin Hersh – Strange Angels
  2. Terence Trent D'Arby, misquoting Oscar Wilde: I have nothing to declare except I'm a genius Thus confirming he is anything but!!!
  3. The US version of DB was a compilation of that album, some singles and the previous album, Sweet Fanny Adams. The rock version of FOTR is from the UK release of DB. The boys didn't have a follow-up to their single, Turn It Down, as they had just split from their writing team, Nicky Chinn & Mike Chapman. They decided to go into the studio and redo FOTR as a pop single - a good choice, it made UK number 2 and became their bigget selling single ever.
  4. The Boat That Rocked A film celebrating the life and death of pirate radio in the UK in the mid- to late-sixties Most excellent! Unbeatable soundtrack! 9/10
  5. "Midnight Cowboy" - John Barry "Little Child" - The Beatles "Down The Dustpipe" - Status Quo
  6. My favourite cult show is my favourite show of all time - Twin Peaks! I was SO distraught when it was cancelled after two seasons.
  7. Nice one! Living in the UK in the 60s and 70s, a lot of my earliest TV theme memories are home- or Europe-based, alonside some classic US ones. From the UK, we have Randall And Hopkirk, Catweazle, Quiller, UFO, Space 1999 and The Prisoner, to name a few. Europe gave us Robinson Crusoe. The US had many more, eg. Batman, Banana Splits, Sesame Street, Tomfoolery... I could go on. Always been a connoisseur, it takes a while for a theme to really grab me. I can't think of ONE from the last 20 years which fits the criteria of greatness I believe in... Cool thread!
  8. Just finished a Paul Robeson compilation album.
