  1. He's pretty good. "What did I tell you about wearing my Van Halen shirt? You're gonna jinx them and they'll break up"
  2. Thanks, bluesy, I needed that.
  3. *sigh* This has not been a good few days.
  4. I think we ned to add 'gunslinger' to your list of titles, Sue.

    "Dance, puppets, dance!"
  6. I'm one of the calmest people in here.
  7. Ok, I'll say this once more. If you had taken the time to look around, you'd have known. It was only one or two pages back. And I suggest you learn the meaning of the word prejudice before using it.
  8. White Stripes. (I'm surprized I knew that) Big Daddy
  9. That's quite true. But I think I'd still rather take my chances with a mass of people than rely on just one. Odd are better.
  10. You know, that always bugged me about that show. Why would you use your phone a friend last? Seems to me, you'd call that person for the easier question, and save the audience for last. Maybe it's just me, but if I'm shooting for a million dollars, I'd rather have 200 people answer than just one. At least you get to see a vote. Maybe I'm wrong.
  11. I read Aerosmith's. When Perry quit, the drugs were running his life completely. They all had their demons, of course.
  12. I want to sit next to Carole Honey. Dibs!
  13. I just thought you'd like to see some other's thoughts before taking over. We have, believe it or not, talked about Zep before you got here. And I believe you're the one who started a thread saying "Isn't Stairway to Heaven the best song ever?" Again, I was merely pointing out that we discussed that already. If you had taken the time to look around, rather than be concerned only with what you had to say, you'd have known that. Welcome to Songfacts.
  14. I suppose the next obvious line would be "and the Bunnymen"
  15. I remember something like that. Not Midnight Special, or Don Kirshner's Rock Concert, either. It was either called Midnight, After Midnight, Around Midnight. Something like that. It's going to drive me crazy now. Thanks alot Carl. Wasn't there one called Rockline? Or maybe it was Rock Show...I seem to remember a theme song at the beginning with the wrods rock show in it. Blast you Carl!

    Give and Take

Tom Petty is one of those guys that's been putting out quality music for 20+ years, and flies under the radar. (Just like you, Annabelle, no wonder you picked him) I own 4 or 5 of his cds, and his greatest hits, as well. He's unassuming, so he often gets overlooked, but the man is an institution in Amrerican rock and roll history. My favorite cuts of his are 'Even the Losers', and 'Woman in Love' Taylor Dayne (ha, haddaya like them apples?)
  17. I'd never dream of scalping. I remember in 1981 or so, I paid 25 dollars for an Aerosmith ticket, and that was highway robbery, even for a scalper. Now you can't get a t-shirt for that.
  18. Depends on where you hear it. On a radio station? look them up on line, see if they have a playlist.
  19. I think we're getting off the topic of the thread. But, if you incorporate the current topic, staring at album covers is greatly enhanced, I suppose. so I guess, in an around the barn sort of way, it all ties in. My mistake. Carry on.
  20. Not me, I swear. After a few tries, I discovered that stuff makes you ...not be you, is the best way I can describe it. Not being in control of my thought process is decidedly not cool.
