Ombre Vivante
I watch Lawrence Welk almost every Saturday evening, but one thing which makes me turn the channel is the tap dancing number. I find it mildly annoying. I know Gene Kelly and other famous actors were big on this, but I can only take a few seconds of this before I start to get antsy and feel the need to move on to better music. Anyone actually like tap dancing and, more to the point, are there tap dancing albums out there that could illustrate how good this famous and oft-ignored kinda performance is? Lucky
I adore Tap. I've always wished I had the talent. many people don't like it at all though. Here's a few modern Tap Performances: With Stevie Wonder Bring in Da Noise, Bring in Da Funk (love this! Crappy video though.) Glover & Hines Young Frankenstein I'm probably in the minority, I'm sure! Edited September 24, 2007 by Guest
bluesboy
I've never understood the appeal of tap dancing . It's hard for me to watch it for a long period of time, also.
MarcM
For me, the only thing that I would like less than watching tap dancing would be watching a clown tap dance.
TheLizard
Ok, so Michael Flatley may be a stuck up prick, but you can't deny he's got talent. And those drums are cool.
blue_n_white
I am 7 years older than my wife. When I was like 17,there was a talent show in my hometown and I had some friends in a band who were in the competition. My future wife, who would have been around 10, was also in it with two other girls. They were tap dancing. All I can remember is laughing at them with my friends. Little did I know some years later I would marry her. Oh and she still gets mad when I bring up this story because I laughed at her tap dancing. Sweet Jane 61
I loved to watch Gregory Hines tap dance. He was so cool and sexy. He was a great talent.
