He certainly released albums, including the predictably-titled "I'm Free", whose title track gets a regular airing in Fitter Mansions, and can always be relied upon to raise a titter. I remember him now as the first 'fruity ' dude I ever saw on television -or elsewhere . Took awhile to understand what that was all about , but I think he was key to promoting at least tolerance for gays as his character was so endearing . R.I. P. , old friend !
