Shawna
my sister went to a concert at Balboa Stadium in the mid '70s, and saw a lineup that would be unheard of today. I wish I'd gone. } Rod Stewart Fleetwood Mac (their maiden Stevie-Lindsey tour) Lynyrd Skynyrd and I can't remember who the headliner was, but it was some nondescript band that went away soon after. Elvish
I'm sorry I never saw the Grateful Dead - that would have been quite a trip (pun intended?) Just missed the boat, though. Was introduced to the Dead by my college suite mate, just a few weeks after Jerry's death But in a former life, I hung out with them at the Haight
_Laurie_
I was suppose to go to a Bob Seger Concert but never made it....heard it was great.. I wish I could of seen Clapton also... Edited January 31, 2007 by Guest
TheLizard
You still can see Clapton, he's not dead yet.... I agree with Shadows on the R&R Circus. And of course any Doors concert, no matter how wasted Jim was, but preferably one where he's sober enough to perform and not just sing.

TheLizard
Yeah, I don't know how we afforded Aerosmith tickets, Stones tickets, and Clapton tickets within a year of each other, but Dad claims we have the money now that he's a Colonel. I won't question it, because I'm enjoying myself!

Shawna
but I can't afford the prices of concerts these days... I'll let you know when Roger's coming to your town, Laurie - he's cheap.
TheLizard
Cool Dad! Yeah, liking the same music as my dad has definitely paid off. He doesn't like the Chili Peppers, so I couldn't go see them, but if I complain about that than I'm just an ungrateful little whiner, so I won't. I mean come on, I'm going to see Eric Clapton!
