Nicole19111 Posted June 6, 2004 Report Share Posted June 6, 2004 I'm only 21, so I've only recently discovered the Clash,shortly before the untimely death of Joe Strummer. I was wondering two things. 1. Was he ever heavily into drugs? I know he enjoyed pot, but was he into taking anything heavier on a regular basis 2. What do you all think of him? I'm a huge fan and I think he was very intelligent(and good looking, in his own sort of way, hehe), and a great songwriter. I also enjoy his stuff with the Mescaleros. Thanks! He drank a little and smoked is what every site I've looked at says, but then I'm not their biggest fan and don't have the inside scoop "It sucks that Joe never did anything more than smoke or drink a little, and he died first."
