The Who to Tour Next Year

Pete Townshend and Roger Daltrey are meeting up in February to begin rehearsing.

Veteran rockers The Who have promised their loyal fans they will take to the road next year, after recently abandoning a series of planned gigs because their drummer was unavailable.

Surviving members Pete Townshend and Roger Daltrey have agreed to meet up in February to begin rehearsing their impressive back catalogue - and their drummer Zak Starkey, son of The Beatles star Ringo Starr, will be free to join them.

Guitarist Townshend writes on his website, "I had a good lunch with Roger to discuss possible work in the coming months. We have agreed to reconvene next February."
