RonJonSurfer
Robert Plant Moves on After Zeppelin Led Zeppelin frontman Robert Plant is determined to look to the future with his latest album 'Mighty Rearranger', and plans never to rest. The 55-year-old, who recently upset former band member Jimmy Page by shunning this year's Grammy Awards ceremony when the legendary rockers were awarded a Lifetime Achievement award, prefers not to rely on his illustrious past. Plant says, "It's spectacular to have reached this time in my life and be this excited about something. We've just written some songs. And they're unremitting and honest - and very, very noisy." "You become so critical of the work you've done in the past and, in the end, there are no more laurels to rest on. Only what's going to happen tomorrow." _jr_
He should have went. Lifetime Achievement means celebrating what you've done in your lifetime. People appreciated Led Zep's music, and it was crass of him not to acknowledge those people.
RonJonSurfer
I agree, unless there is some commitment you cannot escape, show up...it's really for the fans anyway...unless you don't care about the millions of people that made you rich and famous.
