George Michael's song, Teacher

Does anyone know if George Michael wrote his song "Teacher" and/or what it (the song) is about? Thanks ~ J

I researched this song & it didn't appear on his entire song listing, so I couldn't help you. Is it a newer song or from the past. It doesn't appear on any of his studio albums.

I think the title is actually "One More Try." If that's the case, George Michael did write it.

It appeared on his album Faith, but I believe the correct title is "One More Try". I would say he wrote it because he often did, at least back in those days.

To me, the song has always been addressed to a new lover, who he refers to as "teacher". I guess he calls them teacher because he feels he has a lot to learn about love. It seems that he is reluctant to enter into this new love because of past experiences. It seems that he has been burned and is very bitter to the aspect of another relationship. Lyrics are as follows:

I don't know, maybe you guys can come up with another explanation based on these lyrics. By the way, this qualifies as one of those songs where the title is in the last line.

One of my favorite songs, back in the day. Yes, I do think it's about him being reluctant to start a new relationship after being badly burned in his last one.
