CourtneyBenton Posted June 23, 2015 Report Posted June 23, 2015 The 2 songs I can think of that sound scary are"In The Air Tonight" by Phil Collins and "Kashmir" by Led ZeppelinDoes anybody think of any other songs like that? Ken 1
Ken Posted June 24, 2015 Report Posted June 24, 2015 The B-52's "Planet Claire" has a fun schlock-y ersatz spooky taste to it. Many of the songs on Alice Cooper's "Welcome to my Nightmare" are straight up spooky, in particular "The Awakening" and "Steven" are truly scary. "Years Ago" is also on the scary Richter scale. When I was a kid listening to the Osmonds "Crazy Horses" in the dark used to spook me out. And for creep factor, AC/DC's "Night Prowler" is bad after you read up on a lovely human being, Richard Ramirez.
Carl Posted June 26, 2015 Report Posted June 26, 2015 And much of Blue Oyster Cult's output as well is quite sonically spooky. You might also check out the Genesis song "Mama," which is truly disturbing.
CourtneyBenton Posted June 28, 2015 Author Report Posted June 28, 2015 I just listening to Genesis's song "Mama" it does sound scary and he sounds like his laugh is evil
Carl Posted July 10, 2015 Report Posted July 10, 2015 Yeah, Phil Collins was an actor before he was a musician, so getting in psychotic character wasn't that hard for him.
