Batman Posted September 2, 2004 Report Posted September 2, 2004 I know that Freddie Mercury is the lead singer for Queen. Are they background singers the others in the band, or are they just Freddie overdubbing?
Earth-Angel Posted September 2, 2004 Report Posted September 2, 2004 I know that after Freddie Mercury died, there was a Queen song released that either featured another singer or one of the other band members sang. It was a really nice song if my memory serves...anyone know what the title was? Or if it is available on a CD somewhere? No worries - it was "You don't fool me" and the vocals were recorded after Freddie died. Quite amazing. "Freddie sang lead vocal, double tracked in some parts. Harmonies in the intro are a bounce of five part and a double tracked loop of two part. All of that is Freddie. The other harmonies appearing later in the song are three-part and sung by Roger."
Joel17592 Posted September 2, 2004 Report Posted September 2, 2004 I'm not sure about John Deacon but I know Brian May and Roger Taylor provided backup vocals for their songs.
MindCrime Posted September 4, 2004 Report Posted September 4, 2004 They all sing & have so on various songs, including Bohemian Rhapsody. But they're not quite the singers that Mercury was, still pretty talented musicians.
