Carl
You don't know much about Taylor Dayne. At best, you know that she's from Long Island, her real name is Leslie, and she had some hits in the '80s. It's not a lack of publicity that created this mystery - she was signed to Arista Records and ran their promotional gamut. She just doesn't let you in. She was happy to tell me all about becoming a pop star and recording hit songs, but when we started talking about her songwriting - and she is a songwriter - she alluded to events that have shaped her life but kept it tight. This is a woman who took on an entirely new persona to become a pop star, and she was extremely successful for two album, recording 7 Top-10 hits. Finding out what it was like going through Clive Davis' machine was pretty cool. Just wish she would open up a bit and let us in. Jenny
She has an amazing voice, IMO. My favorite song of hers was "I'll Always Love You"
MuzikTyme
I was very fond of this song in the mid to late eighties.
Ombre Vivante
This is the first song I remember hearing/seeing of Taylor Dayne. I liked a few of her other top hits, but the first one I heard is her best:
