Yellowsnow
I like to show you some pics of my hometown. This board has become something like my second home in just a couple of weeks, so here's my first. If you'd share some impressions of the place you live in, of course you're more than welcome. Thank you
Yellowsnow
The townhall of Krefeld, the city I live in. It's in the western part of Germany located on the Rhine river about 30 miles north of Cologne and has a population of 230.000. Btw, that square isn't always that clean (never really). Bridge over Rhine river Officially opened in 1936 by...hrm...Rudolf Hess. Old swing bridge at Rhine harbour, 105 years old and my fav building in the whole city. I love it. The Kaiser was scheduled to be present at the opening ceremony but couldn't make it. He sent two torpedo boats instead... Burg (castle) Linn, about 900 years old. Probably the biggest attraction in the whole area and it's just 1/2 mile away from my house. Shawna, I'd like to show it to you, esp. the dungeon which is really creepy. Shawna
Shawna, I'd like to show it to you, esp. the dungeon which is really creepy. That picture was the one my eyes were drawn to right off. I'd love to see it! Now the trick is getting over there... I just did a google search for my hometown, and what a disappointment! An entire page of nothing but pictures of Blink 182 (it's where they're from), apartments for rent, the fires of 2007, and a lot of groups of people who evidently live there, too. So I've got nuthin'.
