Carl Posted July 15, 2009 Report Posted July 15, 2009 Check out Rock's Backpages. It's an extensive archive of some of the greatest music journalism from the last 40 years. This is the real deal: full articles that originally appeared in Rolling Stone, Cream, Goldmine, NME and just about any reputable music publication. The old interviews are fascinating, especially with the benefit of hindsight. It's a subscription site, but definitely worth it. The search features let you find what you're looking for, so you can pull up every interview with Eric Clapton or every article with the word Layla. It's a very ambitious project that is executed beautifully. You'll see our Songfacts link in the "Friends of RBP" section on the homepage. We're happy to be associated with these guys, and hope you enjoy their site.
Lucky Posted July 23, 2009 Report Posted July 23, 2009 Yup, I found quite a bit available for free, and there is a free weekly (Freekly) mailing I signed up for.
