This was the first time I heard the band, and I really like them, but that beginning is an exact rip off of Empty Spaces, down to the sound effects and tempo! I saw them recently do a free concert on Direct TV and was very impressed with Geoff Tate's vocal range as well as the whole bands' dedication to the pursuit of perfection. I knew a guy named Jeff Tate, and I always thought his first name was spelled Geoff, and I would always tease him and call him Ge-off Ta-tay because that's how telemarketers would pronounce his name. But I got my first track tonight and it was 'Silent Lucidity'...I can't believe I'm in tears Its gorgeous...sooo beautiful!!
