He had been hosting his radio shows on a part-time basis for most of the past year, during which he suffered various illnesses as well as the death of his wife Lynne "Angel" Harvey. Paul Harvey's seven-decade broadcasting career includes more than 50 years working for ABC Radio. "We will miss our dear friend tremendously and are grateful for the many years we were so fortunate to have known him." Source: EW.com And that's the rest of the story .... Good Day. RIP Mr Harvey. Kevin
That is sad to hear. I've enjoyed listening to him on the Armed Forces Network here for 17+ years now . One of the few radio shows that I would sit parked in my car until he was finished telling his stories or commenting on the news of the day , even if it meant being late sometimes . A true master of the mike . I know his son was filling in for him from time to time . Hope he carries on with it .
Lucky
Obviously he had a long life doing what he loved, and what he was good at, and you always had the impression he was a truly good man. We should all be so lucky.

Steel2Velvet
I remember listening to him when I was just a boy. What professional longevity! Interesting that just a couple of days ago, I was wondering if he was still alive and broadcasting.
