Lucky
I have a young friend getting married in a few months, and I told her I would pose a question to y'all. She has a not good relationship with her father, so her older brother will be giving her away, and her younger brother will be dancing with her for the traditional Father/Bride dance. She has decided that they'd like to do it sort of tongue-in-cheek, a bit humorously, but still appropriate. Any ideas? With my encouragement, she's still considering doing it traditionally as well. so if you could, please throw some ideas out for a traditional song as well, appropriate for a brother/ sister. Thank you!
The Seeker
I googled a bit, and those are some songs other people danced to with their siblings: In My Life -- The Beatles You've Got A Friend - James Taylor There I'll Be -- Faith Hill I Hope You Dance -- Lee Ann Womack Wind Beneath My Wings -- Bette Midler Through The Years -- Kenny Rogers Unforgettable -- Nat King Cole You Light Up My Life -- Josh Groban Dunno if they're considered traditional though, I don't know all of them. skybluesky
Hmmm. I'll have to think because I like my love songs mushy. I do agree with Fin's suggestion of "I Hope You Dance." That song is easily adaptable to a myriad of emotional situations.
