Mike
When we moved into the upstairs of my In-laws house, I felt like I was in a church....they are very religious, and I was also raised as a catholic but still our house did not look like a church....we did have a few religious items in my house growing up but not in every room....anyways...I took a look around at the upstairs and noticed pictures of the pope on the wall, pictures of Jesus, a statue of Jesus in the corner too..A big statue at that...well I decorated the room, to make it my own...and felt like I had to move the statue of Jesus to the other room....I just felt a little uncomfortable with it in the bedroom ya know???....so during those "intimate moments" hubby says...."What's the matter?" ....I said "ummmm Jesus is watching us"...he says "It's okay, we're married".... ..... The statue did get moved anyways... hahaha, that's too funny, I remember a buddy of mine when I was 15 or so, would sit in the upstairs tv room and smoke pot, we were convinced that his folks put a picture of Jesus in that room to discourage us from such activities in that room. It didn't work. here's a good one... One time there was a bunch us getting high in the living room, all of a sudden the parish priest pulls up in the driveway. We desperately tried to air out the room in the 2 minutes it took him to arrive the front door. He came in and was told he was there to "bless the house". We were too stioned to be embarrased, if he knew, he said nothing, what could he say?

Viaene
Has anyone read Dan Brown's 'Da vinci code'? throws an interesting light on Jesus and the Catholic church.
MuzikTyme
His main message was basically "Hey, why don't we try loving each other for a change?" That's cool in my book. I'm undecided on the whole divinity issue at this point in my life. Comforting to see that some ^ see what's truly important.

MuzikTyme
Thing is, a bible, where ever it may come from, from where ever time, place or frame of mind, there truly is only one thing to consider: Is our last breath forever?

Ombre Vivante
My thought, it's only but a new beginning... Your own conscious breath isn't for ever. However, every bit of energy that made that breath possible will go on for ever... you just won't be aware of this. Elsewise, you would have memory of every living thing your energy was previously a part of A thought: there is no "beginning" and there is no "end." Those are concepts of the human mind. MuzikTyme
there is no "beginning" and there is no "end." Then, with that last statement, how would you even consider the last breath is truly the last?
Ombre Vivante
Only in the scope of a specific conscious mind. That, indeed, does end.
