"If Ever You're in My Arms Again" - Peabo Bryson

Recommended Posts

I just heard it on my local radio station. The song sounds really 80ish, that's all I can say. :P

Anyway, since I have perfect pitch, I can identify the melody for you all.

Thank you all in advance! :)

I did a search on that site for matching music. the 80's music that contain that exact notation (that are listed) are: 'Chariots of Fire' Vangelis, and 'If you leave me now' Chicago..

Chariots of Fire was an instrumental. And I'm sure you know the Chicgo song.

I'll keep at it for alitte while though.

Margo, if you could give alittle something more to work with, like maybe some of the lyrics. That might help. But anyway in searching music that contains that exact progression somewhere within the song, I came up with the following so far:

-Billy Joel, Just the way you are.

-David Bowie, China girl.

-Beach Boys, Sloop john 'b'.

-Queen, Somebody to love.

-Doobie Bro's, What a fool believes.

-Clapton, wonderful tonight.

-Van Halen, Jump.

-We are the world

-Guess Who, American woman.

-Bill Medley/ Jennifer Warnes, The time of my life

-Beach Boys, Good vibrations.

-Pink Floyd, Another brick in the wall, pt-2.

-Phil Collins, Another day in paradise.

-Survivor, Eye of the tiger, (Rocky).

-Ann Murry, You needed me.

Theres alot of others, but they dont fit the era.

Thank you Jim for trying so hard, I appreciate it :D

The further information I have about this song is:

- Slow (not too slow)

- Sounds 80ish

- Sung by a female singer

- Pretty popular since the radio station I was listening to plays popular music (usually top Billboard Hits and good adult contemporary hits)

That's all the information I have I'm afraid

Thank you very much for trying, Jim.
