  1. Hey Viewaskew....My favorite band from your area (and formerly mine) is Johnny's Dance Band. Perhaps you've heard of them? They were big in the late 70's, early 80's...then were known as Nan Mancini & JDB. Great band...often seen at John and Peter's in New Hope. I have all of their stuff on disc (after searching for many years).
  2. Way back when this song came out I believe it was stated that Suzanne was a girl that James met in drug rehab. She didn't make it.
  3. There's a great girl doo wop group named StreetHeart in the Philly/NJ/NY area. While looking for some of their stuff on Kazaa I found your band. Quite a distance from what I was looking for. I know this is of no help to you but I wanted to share. LOL
  4. Thank you Brian,Scott,Tybalt and TP.
  5. A delightful song, especially for a child is Right Field by Peter, Paul and Mary.
  6. Hi...I'm making a CD for my first grandchild. She is due in October. I'm looking for songs for baby girl, baby and new parents. I've already selected a few like There's A New Kid In Town (using just the refrain), House At Pooh Corner, Wonder, and some others. Any suggestions are welcome. Thanks! Grandpa Your favorite Grandpa
  7. Yeah, and how about Monolith? Shame on you Catherine. Tsk, tsk.
  8. Geez, I can't believe you omitted "Eine Kleine Nacht Musik" by Mozart. If you examine this you'll see that he really was the father of modern music and would have beena giant rock star had he been born a few hundred years later. As to your choices....it'd defintely Rocket 88...hey, I was there!
  9. Well, without a title or something to go on I can't help. BUT...may I suggest "Are You Ready" by Pacific Gas and Electric? Great revival tune.
  10. I've never heard it, but didn't Wilson Phillips do a remake of the Mamas and Papas song?
  11. There's also a neat version by The A-Teens.
  12. Yes, it's a great song. It's Bobby Caldwell's "What You Won't Do For Love".
  13. Count me with Bazooka...Sweet Baby James!
  14. ...and if you like Slow Poke you're sure to love Lazy Bones. Leon Redbone has a great version of it.
  15. Thank you TP. What a relief. So, where's Tonapah? LOL
  16. I've been goin' nuts trying to find the lyrics to "Willing" by Little Feat (You may be more familiar with Linda Ronstadt's version). Can anyone help. Especially this part...I've been from Tuscon to Tucumcaree, Tahachapee to _ _ _ _ _?" Thank you....a thousand times, thank you!
  17. I was hesitant to mention this one...but...here goes... Listen to a song by Perry Como (Yes, Perry Como) titled "Making Love To You". It may be the warmest , sexiest love song you've ever heard.
  18. Uh, how 'bout "Off To See The Wizard"? "Karn Evil 9"? Hmmm..."This Could Be The Start Of Something Big"?
  19. "Cat Scratch Fever" relates to Venereal Disease. Gonnohrea(sp?) long has been known as cat scratch fever. Nugent verified this in interviews way back.
  20. "(In The) Summertime" by Mungo Jerry
