I'm surprised you don't know much about Jethro Tull. To me they are simply the most musically talented rock band of all time. I just don't think any other band in history could have produced anything like the albums Aqualung or Thick As A Brick, or performed these albums live as well as Tull did. Obviously the guy who made the comment about gimmicks knows f-all about the artists he is dissing. I don't think of any of those three as being gimmicky (okay, maybe Weird Al to some extent), they are so much more than that. Seriously, what is Jethro Tull's gimmick? Being much more creative in every way than almost every band in existence? Amazing live performances? I keep on forgetting that The Moody Blues and Deep Purple haven't made it yet - they are long overdue.

Search on any music related website (except for Songfacts, of course ) and you will probably find several references to a version of Stairway To Heaven recorded as a collaboration by Led Zeppelin and Pink Floyd. In reality, they are probably referring to this version by Far Corporation (a band featuring three members of Toto and a few other musicians), which was released in 1985. Frank Zappa is pretty much top of my list of "artists I should listen to more". I haven't heard any full Zappa albums yet, but I really like the songs I have heard so far. I think my favourites have been tracks from the early 70s. I've been wanting to buy Freak Out! for a while now. I'll probably get it pretty soon.

Australian desert sand is generally reddish orange in colour, pretty different to the colours you find in other countries. Still, I haven't seen anything quite like it. I'm glad it's blowing East and not West.
