  12. okay then... The first UK release by Virgin Records was Mike Oldfield's "Tubular Bells" from 1973 But according to Wikipedia Mike Oldfield actually played all four of these instruments? so... I dunno
  13. ah okay, now I know for certain that I don't know the album myself - but I'll look it up if noone else give the solution
  14. You do realise that there were quite a few albums released in the UK in the 70s right? And if this is eg about an album that doesn't include a mandolin and a harp that wouldn't make it much easier (for me at least )
  15. interesting, this discussion made me read a bit again... apparently the English income tax was first introduced in 1799 and the first parts of Germany (in East Prussia) in 1811. This spread throughout the 19th century, and until the beginning of the first World War every German state had them. But I've never heard anyone even suggest that it should be abolished... But here's something for you Americans to rave about the lunatic Europeans: I doubt that you over there have a church tax
  16. a bass guitar (usually) has 4 strings? I'm not really sure if a Mandolin has 6 strings though
  17. that's it! and I absolutely agree - your turn, Zabadak
