  1. Oh I love attention too, but I must confess...well I have a Valentine in my heart...it's a secret!
  2. b-f...I'll trade you Scooby for High School Musical 1 and 2...we watch those movies just about everyday.....everyday.....everyday......
  3. I agree with you ladies...but then a listener brought me some chocolate, so I'm happy!
  4. Thanks Kevin and Ray, and kisses back to you both...but then I would make a fuss over you two any day of the week!
  5. Ray have you ever been on the site imeem.com? It has a good selection of songs from pretty much everyone. Nice selection of AP on there, check it out sometime.
  6. That it's Valentines Day! What an over rated holiday! Even when I had a Valentine I didn't care for it, I mean why should you make a fuss over your sweetie just on one day, shouldn't you do that on a daily basis??
  7. Cool that I'm not the only one! Edna, doesn't surprise me you liked them, you love so many different kinds of music....we could eat some of your brownies and enjoy some AP! Shannon, I applaud you for being so cool at 7, my little miss I hope will be the same way...I'm her Mama afterall!
  8. This is a group I got turned onto by a guy when I was in high school. We use to get stoned and listen to Alan Parsons Project. I really connected with their sound. Very unique considering some of the bands dominating the rock and roll scene in the 70's. Never hitting what some would consider "big" they still had hits on the charts. "I Wouldn't Want to Be Like You", "Breakdown," "Time", and "Games People Play", put them on the radio but I was introduced to them with the song "The Raven", from the Tales of Mystery and Imagination album which was based on Edgar Allen Poe writings. Which does sound great stoned...anyway, I kept listening to them through high school and into the 80's with my last album I bought being Eye In The Sky in '82. The Alan Parsons Project was founded by Eric Woolfson and Alan Parsons, from Britian and considered progressive-rock. Which is acurate, more so than some who have called them pop-rock...not a category I would place them in, doesn't fit the sound. I still listen to them today and play them on the radio station I work for, I mean they are classic rock. Just wanted to see if anyone else likes their sound, I felt they get lost in the shuffle of classic rock. Band history from Wikipedia Take a listen on youtube...
  9. Great choices sammy! Todd is one of my favorites not only as a singer. I think he gets overlooked as a good producer. Runt rocks! Wanted to add Jimmy Iovine, who worked with Stevie Nicks, The Pretenders, U2, and Patti Smith, to name a few but I don't think he produces much anymore.
  10. I've been disappointed with The Grammys for years now so I don't watch. I never really did, I would tape them and zip through the crap leaving about 30 to 40 minutes worth of watchable material. And now with the internet, just get the highlights of what you care to see online. IMO, the show just isn't about the music...more the glam and glitz and crap in between...just my opinion.
  11. Stone Temple Pilots will play their first show together in more than seven years at Columbus, Ohio's Rock On The Range festival. The big event will take place at Columbus Crew Stadium on May 17 and 18 with 28 bands on two stages. "The time that we’re about to spend together is a true celebration," said STP guitarist Dean DeLeo about the band’s performance at the festival. In addition, the Rock On The Range lineup boasts Kid Rock, 3 Doors Down, Disturbed, Staind, Papa Roach, Seether, Serj Tankian, Flyleaf, Shinedown, Killswitch Engage, Finger Eleven, Alter Bridge, Filter, Theory of a Dead Man, Sevendust, Default, 10 Years, Bobaflex, Red, Airbourne, Black Tide, Revelation Theory, Ashes Divide, Drive A and many more. "Rock On The Range started with a focus on the heartland, but it immediately evolved into a national happening," says co-producer Del Williams of Right Arm Entertainment. "Last year, fans came from around the country. The centrality of Columbus, Ohio is ideal for this event because the city is within driving distance for the true rock fans in the middle of America." The Rock On The Range general on sale begins Saturday, February 23 at 10 a.m. EST. Special two-day tickets will be available for as low as $99.50, and a limited number of single day tickets will also be available for as low as $54.50. Check out rockontherange.com for complete info. I got somewhat excited when I saw this story, I like STP, but that is the only band in the lineup I enjoy...so I won't be going. But should be a great concert for people who are into those artists!
  12. For me 20 miles each way, and I'm lucky that it is all country roads no city driving...but on the other hand, when it snows...my 25 minute drive can turn into an hour or more! Country roads are the last ones to get salted and plowed.
  13. Crystal....girl those are the most precious pictures I have ever seen!! Love the two of them sleeping together!! Almost makes me want another one....almost!
  14. I quite agree with you dappled, great choices you made here, thanks for posting them! I won't turn off the Moody Blues, but if I didn't ever hear one of their songs again, I would be just fine. As for Procol, well that is the music of my youth and what a great sound!
  15. I had a feeling you would know quite a bit about this Sammy!
  16. I'll wait for another day to listen...very wintery blue here today....but I will listen...
  17. My litte missy has a huge crush on Spiderman, she kisses his poster in her room!!
  18. Interesting song...a tad depressing but interesting....
  19. I hear ya Jenny! I have to drive 20 miles to the station, took me an hour and half to get here today!!
  20. These two questions just made me chuckle...thank you for that Mars, I was in need of a good one! Can't wait to hear the answers...
  21. Well Lucky come this way...we got snow on the way and will be close to 10 inches of that crappy white stuff!!
  22. Yes it is cold there but I imagine I would get a warm and fuzz feeling being in a place Tony Soprano had been to!
  23. At my house it's all about High School Musical parts one and two. Little miss knows all the songs and about every line in the movies! She just makes me laugh, but when I put on Bruce or Clapton, she knows them too...so there is hope!
  24. With all the gorgeous SF kids being posted today, had to add my to the bunch. This is this past Christmas, she turned 4 on December 22 and now she knows all...she tells me that about everyday! But she is the light of my life.
