  8. I've been in Sacramento, CA on business for 3 of the last 4 weeks. I may be here a lot more too. So, I saw that Gordon Lightfoot is playing at an old art deco theatre called the Crest on the 14th. How can I not go?Never saw him in concert. He's 78 years old. May be my last chance. I see Roger Waters is at the Golden 1 Center on this coming Monday. Ticket prices aren't too crazy, but I may pass on that show.
  9. Edna, As long as your technology brings you back to SF...I'm happy. Ron
  10. My still "in use" Pioneer receiver is close to 50 years old. I bought it in 1969 as a component for my first real stereo system. I still use the Harman Kardon speakers (packaged as SMG for Sam Goody stores) that I purchased the same day. I was 10 turning 11 at the time of purchase. Who knew I'd still have them?
  11. Hey Kids...I hope you all have a wonderful new year. Don't feel bad about about those favorite rockers that died last year. It's just life's way of turning the page. Do yourself a big favor and listen to the legacy of music they left us and listen often. It's always there for you. No matter how many years pass by without them, their music sounds as fresh and crisp as it ever did. Just today I cranked up "Once or Twice" by Chicago. It was written and sung by the late, great Terry Kath. Terry died just a week short of his 32nd birthday on January 23, 1978. His voice roared, his guitar roared; but he wasn't invincible. Overconfidence and silly gun play caused Terry to shoot himself dead. He sang lead vocals on Colour My World and Make Me Smile. He played lead guitar on I'm A Man and 25 or 6 to 4. If he did nothing else there would be a lifetime of musical enjoyment for me. So enjoy the music that your rock heroes left behind. Here's Once or Twice from Chicago and Terry Kath for you:
  12. They were great. I have one sitting outside my home office likes it's a museum piece. I also have a Lloyd's Solid State Eight Band radio sitting there that I bought new in the 60's as a little kid. I loved it and couldn't stand the thought of getting rid of it.
  13. But are they truly problems? Hey Shawna, how are ya kid? Hope you have a Merry Christmas and some chocolate cake to make it merrier.
  14. That's the thing about McRib...you know you shouldn't, but you do anyway.
  15. What happens 5 hours before a Las Vegas Convention? Over the river and through the woods.
