  1. Miami, you really saw the Stones 14 times? Well, it´s not strange, you´re a real lover...I saw them only five... or maybe four times... Hello, Chimp, welcome! Exercise your sense of humor. This is the best forum you can find. It rocks! Amy, your dancing bananas are incredible...I´ll have to enhance my posts with something one of these days... I see they´re graemlins... two new ones! :happybanana:
  2. Exodus, trust BluesBoy... he´s the brains! And I´m not kidding, BB...
  3. Funny, sometimes I asked me the same question... I always thought he means "come on, Beethoven, twist and shout" or something like this... Oh, and welcome!

  6. Muzik, I love that... "mindless insect"... I´m gonna use it when I need to call ugly things somebody... I like the philosophy within the title of the record... "Enjoy every sandwich"... I didn´t know about Zevon and wife dying so close in time.
  7. : Daniel, you really rock!!
  8. Jeff Lynne was in The Move, Roy Wood´s band, for a while. RogerW, is it true that Lynne produced some Beatles stuff? I can´t believe it... or did I read it wrong? I´ll check to see... pls, give me more info if you can... Long Live Bob Dylan & Lynne!!!
  9. Oh, I know the singers but not the songs... I could add some brezilian Roberto carlos "Enamoradinha dun amigo meu" or let´s talk about any argentinian tango... XXX, you´re great!!!...laughing:laughing: I could post plenty of these but I´d rather post some french ones this time: whole Jacques Brel. nearly whole Edith Piaf. and it´s true, we already have plenty of sad songs... I´m gonna cry... sniff... I´ll cheer up with some Leonard Cohen or Neil Young...

Yes, I like it too... I am to blame for not remembering the names, I made an interview with Richard Benjamin for the premiere of that movie in Spain... I still see it regulary on spanish TV...it´s awfull to hear Tom Hanks speaking spanish! Once my brother saw "The Graduate" in a hotel, in Galicia, a northern "piece" of Spain... he was shocked to hear Dustin Hofman speaking in "gallego", a mix between spanish and portuguese!
  12. I love the title!!! ...and also Zevon and many of those who make the covers... but mainly the title! I haven´t eaten for two days now, I´m much too busy... I´ll never get to be miss whatever this way...
  13. Dear MC___ made me remember about one who´s very good. Tracy Chapman. I have no records of hers but I learned to like her voice. And darlingUncleJoe made remember Annie Lennox, she´s very good too... though she´s much of a diva...
  14. See...? like this one I´m posting, for instance... I´ve one more post!! Soon I´ll become a... whatever goes after pretty manatee.
  15. Gisela, do you speak German? I´m curious... As for the stars, they come and you don´t even notice... this is a good place to be! Don´t put many many short posts only to get stars or they´ll call you a spammer!

Well, it´s mostly like the Richard Benjamin movie, with Boris Godunov, Tom Hanks and I don´t remember the girl... you know, the couple buys a beautifull house and it´s cracking down and they have to fix everything, about to divorce due to stress, bla bla bla... hope it will get better!!!
  18. Hi, Imthat... Hope you have good time with your VU... there is one album credited to Velvet Undergroung, "Loaded", or maybe "Squeeze" (I don´t remember) where you cannot find Lou Reed nor John Cale. When you buy a new cd of VU check who plays... the one I talk about is not bad, it´s by Doug Youle, one of the members, but it´s not that Velvet as you might want.
  19. We´ve got great Irish posters here... hello, Jill!

  21. I like so much that song...I´ll post it. Pale Blue Eyes Artist: Velvet Underground Album: The Velvet Underground Sometimes I feel so happy, Sometimes I feel so sad. Sometimes I feel so happy, But mostly you just make me mad. Baby, you just make me mad. Linger on, your pale blue eyes. Linger on, your pale blue eyes. Thought of you as my mountain top, Thought of you as my peak. Thought of you as everything, I've had but couldn't keep. I've had but couldn't keep. Linger on, your pale blue eyes. Linger on, your pale blue eyes.
  22. Grace Jones... I never liked her, she scared me too with her chicken dress and the Jean-paul Goude influence... I like very much Tracy Chapman, she´s not pretending anything, she´s sure of herself and a real good singer. I like her style and she´s very discreet. I don´t think female singers must be sex-bombs, at least not all of them...
  23. John Lennon was violent, impulsive and also very snob, he loved to "épater le bourgeois", like they say in french. Yet he was aware of all his bad habits and was always fighting within himself and against himself to be a right guy. I think his good side is so huge that we can forget that he was maybe a commie for a while, a commie living in the Dakota and riding in limousines... (or so he said when it was trendy to be so), or even a supporter of the Black panthers and other things like that. And he was a genius. And thank you, John Lennon, you were my english teacher! You´ve sweetened my early days!.
  24. Lou Reed has two albums I like very much: "Transformer" & "Coney Island Baby".
