  1. It's actually cheaper to the tax payer for a criminal to be incarcerated for life than to be executed Executions require so many court hearings and so much time of the state, so it costs lotsa money.
  2. Algernon Cadwallader "horror" Cap'n Jazz "take on me" photo atlas and hot iqs I could only find live Cap'n Jazz and Algernon, so the sound quality is low I recommend going to the myspace. But if one must be an internet elitist well, no new tunes fo' you.
  3. ladies and gentlemen from the deep delta of the south I give you blueshammer
  4. Sirhan Sirhan probably didn't kill RFK It was big news for like.... 12 hours Real forensics and just practical thinking went into it. It's not speculation like the JFK stuff An audio recording records more shots being fired than sirhan sirhan's clip contained. and the wound doesn't match up with the distance Sirhan Sirhan was The wound does match where a secret service guy was tho a guy who currently lives outside the country. I dunno It could be conspiratorial bs but on the other hand the fact it was removed from the news so quickly without being rebutted makes me believe otherwise
  5. Here is a bunch of music no one will like A buddy recently turned me on to what I will call 'Good Emo' It's emo/hardcore without mindless screaming or corporate money grubbing it has super bouncy/slidey mellow guitars and pretty decent vocals. My Fave of those bands was Algernon Cadwallader http://www.myspace.com/algernoncadwallader my fave song of there's is called 'horror' but it isn't on that page. Oh well, most of their stuff is pretty good Then here's Cap'n Jazz a really influential band from the early nineties they do a badass cover of 'take on me' that actually made me like take on me. http://www.myspace.com/capnjazz1 Now here are a couple colorado bands that are pretty good. This is the Photo Atlas they're from denver they do indy-emodancepop it's fun they're really awesome live. They've managed to make a pretty good name for themselves http://www.myspace.com/danceatlasdance Then there's the Hot IQs, probably my fave CO band The guy sings with a Interpol-ish baritone and has some pretty great lyrics 'specially for a band no ones heard of http://www.myspace.com/hotiqs

  8. Well Coldplay really sucks Oasis used to be a pretty decent listen now they suck real hard Radiohead is awesome and the band and the fans are quite ugly. Internet Arguing is always good for LOLZ
  9. It didn't truly revolve around weed and it was in fact warning you not to be a 'stoner' it was quite ironic and tongue and cheek at all times. it revolved around personal relationships and the value of friendship.
  10. You're gonna go to college, get into Godspeed, You Black Emperor and the Shins and become a lesbian and...... Really fun flick.
  11. He's a great guitarist because of his intricate tunings and chord structures and he plays with melody and harmony rather than playing scale after scale to form a 'solo' edit- so it's not quite something you can witness in a youtube video, but by grabbing some SY albums and listening to them, overandoverandoverandover
  12. Like BF said, Sonic Youth is the single most influential band in the modern era. Formed in 79(or 80) depending on your source, they stared right a the end of the punk wave, and took every influence from yesterday and turned it into something new, fusing John Cage with Johnny Ramone. Excellent band. excellent excellentexcellent band As a sidenote, Sonic Youth jumpstarted Nirvana's career, by inviting them to open on a series of shows for them. and continued to mentor Nirvana to the end. also, they did the same for Pavement, which if you're into pavement, is pretty rad. And Thurston Moore=GeniusXabazillion. Probably my fave guitarist of all time, he's not always playing the pretty notes, but he's playing 'em well. To add to the list of things they might play, Probably a couple of their newest disc 'Rather Ripped' which is quite excellent- I'm almost 100% 'incinerate' will be played, and possibly 'do you believe in rapture' and maybe (slim) 'Reena' Then look for 'Unmade Bed' from Sonic Nurse and 'Schizophrenia' a great tune that they like to bust out live. but it's hard to predict what SY will play, because that band has written 100s of hours of music.
  13. new songs done and up instrumental indy-rock barely hanging together fast paced symphony
  14. We're actually planning on a last.fm dealy-o the day we stared recording they announced they were gonna pay unsigned acts royalties .05 cents yes!!!!! but we're using myspace as a launch point, cuz it's real trendy and easy to use it to prostitute yourself out. I've never heard of mog, I'll have to check it out.
  15. I recommend some MF Doom
  16. oh thanks for the birthday wishes everyone, it was fun. The band sat around and watched lost (none of us had started watching it yet) and watched our myspace page get a thousand hits. good birthday indeed.
  17. Yeah totally DIY and all we had for the instruments and vocals was one mic, a kind of general condenser guy- and if you guys know anything about recording, you know the studios use like 500 different kinds of microphones and we had a generic low end drum mic kit, and that worked prety well. yeah, we are pretty happy with how the recording is going.
  18. I had a bit of a chuckle at that too....
  19. Yay! Oh boy, this sure is a lot of fun kinda but it is exciting to track the page getting hit after hit we've got almost 700 now and 200 plays sweetness
